Unicorn: Eco-Friendly Transportation and Modern Digital Design in Europe
Hello everyone! This is Nastya, the founder of the international digital agency AZ Agency. Today, we want to share with you the story of creating a new website for Unicorn — an Italian brand that is revolutionizing mobile transport and promoting eco-friendly lifestyles in Europe.
Unicorn is an Italian company that rents eco-friendly mobile transportation, such as electric scooters, electric bikes, and e-scooters. Their core mission is to reduce carbon emissions and support sustainable living. The company not only provides rental services but also partners with commercial real estate to install charging stations and offers a wide range of accessories for user convenience.
Developing a new website for Unicorn
We had previously worked with Unicorn to create a small website, which was more like a landing page. However, as the company grew and expanded its offerings, the need for a more comprehensive and functional online platform emerged. The new website includes more pages and better reflects the brand’s values as well as its products.

Design concept
We focused on minimalism, lightness, and spaciousness in the layout, placing emphasis on the text and products. The client came to us with an existing logo, font, and color palette, which we adapted to suit a modern style.

We gathered visual references from various niches relevant to their business to align with their design preferences. The Open Sans font, a classic sans-serif, was chosen for ease of readability, and the brand’s signature colors formed the foundation of the design. The color combinations helped create focal points between sections, guiding user attention and improving content readability.

Simplicity and Cleanliness
We created a modern and stylish website without unnecessary details or excessive graphic elements. The use of negative space allowed us to highlight the text and key messages, emphasizing minimalism. Accent lines and digital elements complemented the stylish look, while videos in several sections helped capture user attention and build trust.

Gradients
We used subtle gradients to add variety to the minimalist design and highlight the modernity of the company. These elements became focal points without distracting from the main content.
Site Structure and Functionality
Initially, we proposed one design option, but later simplified it to make it even more user-friendly and concise. In the end, the website consists of 9 pages, including the homepage and 8 internal sections. We kept the minimalist style, maintained gradients in the headers and backgrounds, and used digital images to emphasize the company’s technological edge.

Visually, the focus is on the products: the homepage features a video and numerous photos to help users better understand the company’s offerings. One of the standout pages, in our opinion, is the showroom page, where the main product categories — electric bikes, scooters, and accessories — are prominently displayed.
Expanded Product Range and Environmental Focus
Another key request from the client was to reflect the wide scope of their activities. Unicorn is not only involved in scooter rentals but also offers bike rentals, installs charging stations, and sells accessories and other products for user convenience. We made sure to highlight this information in a clear and visually appealing way.

Visually, the website emphasizes the brand’s environmental focus while maintaining simplicity and intuitive navigation. We avoided complex animations to keep the site light and easy to navigate. The color palette remains calm, with shades of blue and dark gray, conveying the company’s modernity and reliability.
Final Result
As a result, we created a stylish, modern, and functional website that reflects Unicorn’s values and helps users easily find the information they need. The new site has become not just a digital showcase of the company, but also an essential tool for interacting with customers, emphasizing the eco-friendly and technological aspects of the brand.
